The University of Michigan
I currently teach at the University of Michigan. I teach in the Elementary Education Department - Mathematics.
I teach undergraduate students. In a typical semester I teach three sections of Problem Solving for College Students which serves as an introductory course to our Mathematics minor. This course also satisfies a finance and qualitative general education requirement which means I am fortunate enough to interact with students with many other interests from the arts to communication and engineering to nursing. I am usually responsible for 68-72 students each semester.
I teach on the Flint Campus and I can say that I have loved every moment of my time there. My future goals include teaching a variety of our Mathematics courses. I would also like to supervise a group of student teachers through their internship journey. I would also like to serve as a mentor on campus to first year students as they begin their formal education in a university setting.
